Are there any home remedies to getting whiter looking teeth, without spending a fortune?
Thanks for answering!
How to get whiter looking teeth?
Hydrogen peroxide! This is the ingredient used by both dentists and the at-home products, such as strips. The difference is the concentration level. You should ONLY use the pharmacy hydrogen peroxide that comes in the brown bottle- it is typically about 3%- otherwise, you could damage your teeth and gums.
Two ways to whiten:
1. Use as a mouthwash after brushing your teeth for 30 seconds. Just to be safe, I swish with water afterwards and like any mouthwash, DO NOT SWALLOW (as with any mouthwash, call poison control if this occures).
2. Apply with a q-tip directly to teeth, wait 30 second to 1 minute, spit, then swish with water again.
I smoke and drink coffee/red wine (all the bad habits that yellow teeth) and had immediate results! Your teeth should be pearly white in a few days and afterwards, just use the hydrogen peroxide regimen 2-3 times a week.
Reply:salt...my mother said that when you rub it to your teeth it would whiten.
Reply:I have has some of my patients use the Crest White Strips and they have gotten pretty good results. I always recommend having whitening trays made at your dental office because they will make your teeth movie star white and you will be very satisfied with the outcome. They are expensive but they are really worth it.
