Will brighter, whiter, perfect teeth be the norm forever?

My teeth are not as white and perfect as I would like them to look, i.e., a la hollywood. Paying over $600 to whiten them is too much, but I can't help but feel self-conscious about my smile. I especially feel embarrassed smiling for photos. What's a girl to do?

Will brighter, whiter, perfect teeth be the norm forever?
You can use over the counter whitening strips. The problem with them is that they are short and cover only your six front teeth but you can get professioanl strenght of it through your dental office, they are longer and work faster. There are also tooth pastes like super smile that works for some patients and you can get that through your dental office. There is also Oralb -Rembrandt plus whitening tooth paste which contains carbomide peroxide (the bleaching agent in the whitening gels) Any drug store has this and it works well for some.

Reply:Whitening kits, like Crest Whitestrips. Much cheaper, still safe, and very effective.
Reply:i feel the same way myself, try using a electric toothbrush, just take care of your teeth 3 times a day as supposed to
Reply:I think that people should jsut take care of their teeth. Im not into the fake white teeth fad. It does not look good.
Reply:Yes!!!! White is beautiful and healthy. The baby-boomers want everything to be perfect. Home, body and teeth. As long as you can afford it, do it. Remember when some looks at you they scan the body and focus on the face, mainly the teeth.
Reply:Over-the-counter products will work in the short term. But the maintenance required is time consuming and if you add up what you'd spend on say, Whitestrips for the year, you may as well get professional teeth whitening. BriteSmile is a wonderful treatment and it doesn't cost $600....more like $400-450. FYI, During the holidays, dentists are running lots of promos on BriteSmile....especially if you get your regular teeth cleaning done at the same time. You can pay in installments which can be negotiated between you and the dentist office.

In short, if you're really embarrassed about your smile, save yourself some time, and in the long term, money, and get something like BriteSmile done. It will last a minimum of 2 years, possibly longer if you take good care of your teeth and avoid dark drinks and don't smoke. Check out the link below if you would like to see exactly how much it costs and what specials are being run by a cosmetic dentist in your area. Hope this helps!
