Does brushing your teeth with baking soda really give you whiter teeth?

My teeth aren't yellow but i want them to be brighter and whiter and I always heard that baking soda works and wanted to know if it was true thanks!

Does brushing your teeth with baking soda really give you whiter teeth?
yeah it does!

but it tastes horrible
Reply:i have never heard of that i dont think i would put that in my mouth
Reply:No.
Reply:yes you are right =it does help make them whiter
Reply:yes i have heard that too, some toothpastes have baking soda in so its ok to try it,
Reply:Yes baking soda really does whiten teeth. Some people actually brush with baking soda first, and then follow up with regular toothpaste, other people buy a toothpaste with baking soda in it, and a third way I know it can be used is as a mouth rinse:

Mix a little bit of baking soda with some warm water and swish it around your mouth for a minute or so. Do this a few times a day, especially before brushing.

Hope this helps. :-)
Reply:I wouldn't suggest putting pure baking soda in your mouth to brush with. You should whitening strips or tooth paste that has baking soda in it, also brush more often , after every meal and snack and before you wake up and when you wake up
Reply:I did it and it worked for me. IT TASTES NASTY, though.

And be sure to REALLY rinse your tooth brush when your done or buy a new one when you are done using baking soda...because you can alway's still taste it...and it's really gross.

But yeppers, it works!!!
Reply:I use baking soda, combined with my toothpaste and brush away. Then rinse my mouth out with perioxde.

Yes, it does whiten and it is natural. The Whiten Strips have chemicals in them.
