What is the best way to get whiter teeth without going to the dentist, that actually works for you?

I am not insured, and I know that it will cost too much to get my teeth white at a local dentist. Have anyone here tried something that makes their teeth white at a cheap price(less than $50)-thanks

ps.

how long did it take you to get your teeth white......any pain involved????

What is the best way to get whiter teeth without going to the dentist, that actually works for you?
I have to agree with Maximus. Crest Whitestrips do a great job.
Reply:crest white strips really work
Reply:I have used CREST WHITE STRIPS and they work great you have to wear them for 7-14 days to get the best results, and you can get them almost anywhere.
Reply:get CREST WHiTESTRiPS [[[SUPREME]]} not premium or regular or whatever get the SUPREME! they're really only "supposed" to be sold at the dentist office with a prescription...BUT you can get them on eBay!

they are amazing! they have a higher % of hydrogen peroxide...so be careful if you have extra-sensitive teeth

they say to only put them on for 30mins at a time...but i actually SLEEP with them on LOL! doesn't hurt me at all! works even faster! my dentist said that there's nothing wrong with it...as long as my teeth sensitivity can handle it

MY TEETH ARE SO WHiTE RiGHT NOW!

i've tried everything......CREST WHiTESTRiPS SUPREME are simply the BEST.
Reply:Did u just try a toothpaste w/whiter in it? There's strips u can buy too.
Reply:baking soda works, it's an old fashioned remedy but it won't erode your teeth like whiteners do. I drink a lot of tea and it makes my teeth dingy. satisfied so far but I need to go to the dentist for pro help. It's not that expensive to get your teeth cleaned at the dentist.call them
Reply:use baking soda and regular peroxide instead of or before you use your regular minted toothpaste.....if very stained or yellow hold the peroxide and baking soda in your mouth for a bit each time....good luck
Reply:Crest makes very good products. THere are different kinds of crest whitestrips, that work different time frames. they also have a night gel thing.

Plus they are inexpensive at the drugstores.

GOOD LUCK.
Reply:As the others said, Crest White strips really do work over time.

You can rinse your mouth with peroxide (don't swallow) but it tastes awful. Same with baking soda, brush with it and rinse well. It also tastes pretty bad.

Listerine now has a pre brushing rinse that has peroxide in it you can use and I think it makes the teeth a little whiter and brighter (sorry, looked at my bottle -- I initially gave credit to Crest but it is Listerine). It doesn't taste wonderful but it is easier to tolerate than straight peroxide and baking soda. I've been using it a couple of weeks and think it is effective for the couple of dollars it cost, well worth it.

If you have extreme tooth stains like coffee, tea and nicotine you will probably need a good scaling from your dentist in addition to the above methods. You can buy a scaler at your local drugstore to scrape those stains on the front of your teeth yourself but be careful! They aren't as nice as the instruments your dentist uses.

Pain? naw but you might feel some tingling. Don't use a hard toothbrush trying to get them cleaner/whiter. Use a soft brush because you don't want to damage your gums and cause sensitivity or gum disease. Best of luck.
Reply:Crest Whitestrips (classic) they worked really well for me. You just use them twice a day for 30 mins. I also used Aquafresh White %26amp; Shine toothpaste. Try both products and I'm sure it'll work out for you. Mouthwash is very important after brushing, I use the crest mouthwash.
Reply:Deep your toothbrush in baking soda and brush your teeth directly without water. Don't swallow it. Don't do all the time.
Reply:brush them and floss them and make them shine.
Reply:Use good thooth brush
Reply:The Crest Whitening Strips worked for me, and I saw after I used them only a couple of times.
Reply:Try a whitening toothpaste with the ADA seal of approval. They are hard to find because whiteners are so bad for the enamel on your teeth. Brush with it every day, twice a day and you won't have problems. Make sure to replace your toothbrush every 6 months too.
Reply:Well try this dudes www.ImageWhite.com lmao look at his site get clean teeth and get points for answering his page
Reply:well if u go 2 some drug stores cant remember in which aisle the have a teeth whitening thing that does it in 20 miuntes u c it on tv it s a thing u put in ur mouth with some light thing only $30 dollars !

good luck!
Reply:You may think I am nuts but I am a coffe drinker and a smoker......I tried everything due to the unability to pay dental fees and used every toothpaste on the market.

I come to find out that at Wal Mart they sold a whitening gel and mouth rinse combination that comes with the the mouthpiece for around $6.00 It is a cheap brand called Plus White I used this twice a day and Colgate Rejuvinating effects Vanilla and mint toothpaste 3x a day

and began noticing the whiter smile the first day.I continue the use and it is really made a big differrence. It is as if I had them pro cleaned and whitened.
Reply:whitening toothpaste
Reply:i do not know
Reply:save your money trust me when reg brushing use peroxide and once a week baking soda soda once a week it can irritate the gums try for a couple weeks you will see a big difference i have done this since a teen and now in my 40's it does work check numerouse web sites on home remedies or folklore remedies on teeth whitening but the soda and peroxide does work good luck and be consistent you will be astonished once a week is ok fo the soda more than once a week tends to irritate the gums i wanted to clarify that again good luck also i read some of your answers i agree with some those whiteners in store are no good the eventually do damage for a quick fix i do much research check for your self back in the days thats what they used soda and peroxide soda is a whitener and inexspensive
