How do i get my teeth whiter?

i have 3 months until school starts back again, and i would like my teeth to be whiter. The color they are now is not what you call a pretty smile. I have bad habits of drinking sodas and eating sweets. Can you people give me some tips on how to get my teeth whiter? thanks

Reply:There are basically three ways you can have your teeth whitened, and they are of variable efficacy.





1. You can buy cheap whitening at your local supermarket. Make sure it has hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide as its active ingredient.





2. You can buy high quality whitening trays online or possibly through your local health store or pharmacy. High quality trays tend to cost between $75-$300, but if you are set on whitening your teeth at home then they might be a good option. High quality trays tend to have more of the active ingredients, and therefore do a better job of whitening your teeth.





3. You can goto a cosmetic dentist and have your teeth whitened with a laser. This is probably your best option, but it is the most expensive of the three. Dentists use gels with the same active ingredients as over the counter trays, but the laser is said to active them better.
