How to get whiter teeth?

I want to whiten my teeth but I heard that white strips and things like that make your teeth sensitive. Is this true and do you have any products/things you recommend to get white teeth.

They do make your teeth more sensitive if you use them beyond the recomended time. If you choose to use them (and they work) then get Sensodyne toothpaste. Its for sensitive teeth.

Reply:My daughter has used the Crest White Strips (or the generic Walmart Brand too), and they have not made her teeth sensitive. She will use them for up to 2 weeks (sometimes just once a day) until they are whiter. They really do work. She is doing them now to get ready for her prom in 3 weeks. The results last several weeks, I think, so if you want a more permanent solution, ask your dentist.

Reply:Try a whitening toothpaste. I've used pearl drops (hard to find) and didn't use it daily as it can actually scratch your teeth. Also, use a medium brush, not soft. And the best toothpaste I've tried is Crest night white - it truly does work! Whitening products can make your teeth sensitive but usually it's temporary. White strips do work though.
Reply:they can make your teeth senstive but all whiteners do and that is the only way to whiten. for two weeks before you start, use act flouride or some other flouride treatment twice a day and then make sure to continue using it twice a day while you are whitening. it should help with the sensitivity.
