This annoys me. I brush my teeth 3 times a day. Floss 1-2 times a day. My friend brushes only 1-2 times a day and doesn't floss. Yet, he has whiter teeth. Whats up with this?
Some people just have whiter teeth?
Yes, there's a range of different-coloured teeth out there.
If you ask your dentist to look at a shade guide, you'll see that most teeth are shades of yellow/brown/grey. Naturally white teeth are not common.
It's a cultural thing and we are bombarded with advertising pressure that WHITE equates to cleanliness and good health. Also, as we age, our teeth darken. And white teeth can look strange in our senior years. I have a 70yo patient who bleaches every year and has the whitest teeth I've ever seen. He obviously thinks he looks hot for the ladies (and good luck to him!), but when I first saw him, I thought he had dentures because they looked so false! Hey, but he's happy.
Reply:+ just genetics and good luck.
Reply:Genetics,
also, its in the foods you eat. Do you drink coffee? eat tomato sauce? all those things stain your teeth...
Reply:i know i have the same problem..maybe we should go to the see the dentist and get them bleached=)
Reply:family jeans . my opion?
Reply:i think it is mostly the family you are born in. My mom has the whitest teeth. My teeth are so white that when the dentist put a cap on my teeth, none of his samples were white enough so he had to put in special order. (expensive). I brush my teeth once a day. I do agree that it could be the food you eat or if you drink pop, or coffee.
Reply:it is juz in the genes.. and some foods that u eat definitely can stain ur teeth even more..~!! =D
